About
I am a doctoral candidate in Urban and Regional Planning, University of Hawaii Manoa, and research interests lay in examining processes of placemaking, transcultural places, and everyday forms of cosmopolitanisms using videographic methodologies. Recently, I have co-authored with Karen Umemoto, “Cultural Diversity, for the Oxford Handbook of Urban and Regional Planning (Forthcoming 2012). I am also the founder and creative director of the annual international Diversity in Place Shorts Film Festival, Hawai‘i Women in Filmmaking, and the outreach coordinator and producing partner for Community Cinema ITVS in Honolulu.
