About

Until the beginning of 2008, I hosted a current affairs show on public access television in Hawaii. Guests have included Medea Benjamin, Ann Wright, David Korten. Discussion topics included: the prison-industrial complex; empire; Hawaiian independence movement; spirituality; militarism and nation. I grew up in Hong Kong when it was still a British Colony. Currently, I'm writing on issues of race, globalization and nation in Asian American literature and the new media in the United States, as well as stage and film adaptations of novels/fictive narratives. Most recent publication is a chapter in _Hybrid Americas_.
